I started to play the concert flute (Boehm system) in the middle of 2005. It is not an easy to learn instrument, but it makes it a quite interesting challenge!

I own two flutes: a Jupiter serie-500 student model and a nice handmade Miyazawa PA-102 model. I enjoy playing both flutes but the Jupiter one, despite being a quite decent student instrument, definitely cannot compete with the Miyazawa in terms of handcraftship and sound quality.

I also have fun with tin whistles (little irish flutes). I own three whistles: a clarke "sweetone" tuned in D, a classic Clarke tuned in D and a classic Clarke tuned in C.

A quite special and beautiful kind of flute is the ocarina. I own a 12-holes soprano purple clay ocarina from STL. It is really funny to play it. The little thing is able to play a chromatic scale from La1 to Fa2, so it is not difficult to find pieces to play. It is tuned in C.

Recorders are also funny and interesting instruments. I enjoy playing a pear wood made recorder from Hohner. I also play a plastic fife from Yamaha. It is a strange instrument and doesnt sound quite well, but it is funny nowadays.
